What I’ve been up to & more.

So first of all, thanks to all the visitors who are still coming here even though there has been a lack of posting. A few things have changed/happened over the past few weeks that warrant mentioning here.

First, and foremost, Resolve now has all 25man content on farm. We’ve been working our asses off (to put it mildly) to get Naxx and the rest on farm and we’ve finally done it. Naxx, by and far, is easy once everyone gets the fights learned. Heigan and a few other bosses posed some minor challenges along the way but we managed.

Second, and this is more news related to Alleria than to Resolve, one of the most well known guilds, Premonition, has decided to leave. What this means, is, Resolve is doing our best to try to take the number one spot on the server. We’ve been pushing hard for achievements and doing quite well.

Third, and probably the most important (heh) is my gear. Coming along quite nicely and once i get a few minutes to spare I’m going to see if I can get a list posted here for those that are curious.

Anyway, just a quick update. More to come, as well as screenshots, and perhaps a video or two.

New Posts Soon

Sorry for the lack of posts here. More to follow shortly.

Holiday Break

Sorry for not posting anything lately but this holiday season seems to be a bit more hectic than usual. Between classes, exams and usual holiday stuff I haven’t had much time for anything.

I hope everyone has a good Holiday Season and wish everyone Happy Holidays!!

Usual Posting should resume shortly once the holidays are over!

There are very few things I managed to see pre-BC. As I have mentioned in previous posts, I really was quite clueless when it came to real raiding. Sure, I saw Kara, but I doubt many could call a 10man raid, even a real raid. Especially once the nerf bat came pre-Wrath, Kara was nerfed so badly that people were 2manning the place.

Wow. What a night. I’ll be honest, I wasn’t expecting this many kills our first night out and I think many others weren’t either. Great dps, great tanking, great heals. Great Job all around.

Over 60 screenshots after the jump.

Secret Santa Day 1

Well, as the previous post mentions, life has been a bit hectic here lately. While the holidays are always a time of mixed emotions, they are also supposed to be a time to reflect on the past, the present, and the future. A time of giving, sharing, and making others happy.

So, what does this have to do with World of Warcraft? read on to find out!

Ding 77 (almost 78)!

Yea, I know, posts have been scarce here lately. Just wanted to make a fast post here to let everyone know I haven’t forgotten about posting but life has been hectic (to put it mildly. Still working on getting 80 and the guild (Resolve) is set to start raiding next Monday (dec 1st).

Anyway, more content to come soon!

Ding 74

Shadowshiftr has finally hit 74. What I’ve found interesting is .. I’ve yet to move out of the two starting zones. It seems one major difference between this expansion and that of previous years is Lich King seems to have made the leveling process WAY more open and diverse.

Over the past two days, I’ve only managed to see only but a fraction of the overall new content. I’ve run Utgarde Keep many many times with my fastest run being a mere 19 minutes. I’ve run The Nexus twice and Violet hold once. I’ve done a good part of the quests for both Howling Fjord and Borean Tundra but have not finished either zone entirely.

Yet, I’m already 74. More after the jump

Wrath of the Lich King, Day Two

Fun times! Fun times indeed. So what’s on the agenda today you might ask? Utgarde Keep, Questing and more Utgarde. Starting to really like Utgarde actually — with a good group the place is easily do-able in about 30mins or so and is a good xp for time tradeoff.

So, I ran Utgarde Keep a few times early today just to get a feel for the instance and see how fast I could get it done with a PUG. Truthfully, I enjoy PUGs. The reasoning behind it, is that with a PUG you get a complete group of strangers who know nothing about eachother’s play style and it adds a new element of challenge. Even more so with a new instance, the challenge not only becomes whether or not the instance can be done, but whether or not the team can work together. Besides, any tank who is able to tank a shitty pug, can more than tank a guild run :)
